The BIG ready is done for 2020...and it was an awesome experience! The next edition of The BIG Ready will be on February 29, 2024 – BUT I will be hosting an event in 2021!
WHAT IS THE BIG READY?
The BIG Ready is a multi-faceted event that is hosted by the creator of TimeCrafting – yours truly – Mike Vardy.
The aim of this event is to bring together those that want to improve their ability to align their intentions – the things they need and want to do – with their attention so that they can find their way forward.
Whether you're an entrepreneur that has a lot on their plate and find it challenging to get the right things done, someone who is feeling stuck in their work and in their life and want to make progress with purpose, or are a person who is overwhelmed and "underfocused", The BIG Ready has something to offer you.
I've been to many events in my decade-plus of experience in the realm of time management and personal productivity and I wanted to craft an event that takes what I liked from each of them and bring that to where I'm from. I wanted to bring friends that I've made along the way to share their insights and ideas with you. I wanted to host an experience here that meshes substance and style in an unforgettable way. And I wanted to create something multi-faceted that tells a story that is worth seeing and hearing – something I've been a part of at other events in my travels.
THE BIG READY WILL FEATURE
I’ve lined up some incredible Featured Guests that will take the stage and share their insights, ideas, and inspirational messages with you over the course of the main stage experience. All of our Featured Guests have given talks at some of the best events in North America and they will definitely bring “the goods” to The BIG Ready.
You’ll leave The BIG Ready with actions to take so that you can move forward with the months ahead confidently and consistently. Each of the sessions at The BIG Ready will inspire actions that are the hallmark of my TimeCrafting philosophy: Simple, Flexible, Durable.
The magic of going to live events aren’t just the talks and sessions – it’s the conversations that happen in between. You’ll be experiencing The BIG Ready alongside others that are looking to make more of their moments matter and it’s through conversations with guests at The BIG Ready that connections will be forged and fostered.
Mike Vardy is a writer, productivity strategist, and the creator of the methodology and philosophy known as TimeCrafting. He is the author of several books, including The Front Nine: How to Start the Year You Want Anytime You Want and the upcoming TimeCrafting: A Better Way to Get The Right Things Done. He is a renowned speaker and has taught productivity practices on popular online education platforms CreativeLive and Skillshare, where his courses are among the most popular in the business category. Mike lives in Victoria, BC, Canada with his incredible wife, daughter, and son.
Marc and Angel
Scott Rose is The Inspirational Nerd — a motivational speaker, transformational coach, and inspirational storyteller who helps people make magical transformations in their lives. Scott was professionally trained in the art of masterful public speaking by Steve Jobs and the marketing team at Apple. You may even recognize Scott, because he is probably most famous for his viral hit comedy video series on YouTube with over 3 million views: “S--t Apple Fanatics Say”.
Angela Crocker has been called the Ann Landers of digital living, making sense of the online life for thousands of digital citizens. Her expertise includes digital decluttering, content planning, digital legacy planning, education technology, digital parenting, and more. She is the author of six books including Digital Life Skills for Youth, Declutter Your Data, The Content Planner, and Digital Legacy Plan, co-written with Vicki McLeod.
Vanessa Tharp is a multipotentialite who works as an experience designer, event planner and community builder. She also works as a strategic planner and accountability coach. She loves to travel, has a heart in service, enjoys photography, bubble baths, and is a total foodie. Vanessa also brings over a decade of experience as an educator with an emphasis in leadership. She’s been dubbed a super-connector and her energy and enthusiasm are contagious!
Russel Lolacher is a speaker, consultant and advocate for meaningful customer and employee relationships. From two decades of experience, working from the front lines to leadership roles in call centres, public service and the retail and restaurant industries, Russel champions the importance of communication and trust building, online and in life. He was recently named a Top 50 Thought Leader in 2020 by the International Customer Management Institute.
Marie Poulin helps business owners level up their digital systems, workflow, and productivity, so they can spend more time on what matters. She's all about helping you get traction quickly, and reducing wasted time on things that aren’t getting results. Ultimately, she believes entrepreneurship offers us a chance to design our businesses and lives with more intention and possibility.

With a combination of expertise and creative energy, the space is able to host events such as art openings, evenings of music, talks, travel photography shows and cocktail parties for any occasion. Lost + Found Café has found a niche in the downtown Vancouver community, providing good food and great coffee, where philanthropy and creativity meet. That's why I'm thrilled that it is the host venue for The BIG Ready.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much are tickets?
Early bird tickets are available until February 2nd at just $99 CAD for general admission. After that, tickets for the day-long experience begin at $199 CAD. The BIG Ticket VIP admission is $399 CAD, and it includes a workshop intensive with Mike on the second day (limited to 18 participants). (While I charge in USD for my online services, because this event is taking place in Canada I'm charging in Canadian dollars. There is also 5% GST - Goods and Services Tax - applied to every ticket purchase as a result.)
When is The BIG Ready?
The BIG Ready takes place Saturday, February 29th. The BIG Ticket VIP includes an intensive session with Mike on Sunday March 1st. We recommend that you arrive in Vancouver on Friday, February 28th and leave on Sunday if you're not participating in The BIG Ticket VIP portion of The BIG Ready (and on Monday, March 2nd if you're taking in the entire event). If you can't stay in Vancouver for that long, at least make sure that you're there by Saturday February 29th at 9 AM and are able to stick around until the end of the primary event, which wraps up at 5:30 PM (not including the reception and the Midnight Momentum component).
What is included in my ticket?
You'll get access to all the presentations, main stage conversations, as well as the early evening reception and Midnight Momentum session. You'll also be able to mingle with our featured guests through Saturday's event.
Where should I stay in Vancouver?
The venue is located on the edge of Gastown, located in Vancouver's downtown core. There are plenty of hotel accommodations in the downtown core and surrounding area all within walking distance or a short drive to the venue.
I am flying in. Where is the closest airport?
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is located outside the city limits and there are taxicabs and public transit (the SkyTrain Canada Line) directly from the airport to downtown Vancouver. There are rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft available that launched in late January but we recommend you take the Canada Line to the downtown core and make your way to your hotel from there.
What if I bought a ticket and I can't come anymore?
Due to timing and planning, tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred. A transfer and administration fee of $100 will be issued and transfers must happen by Feb. 19.
