The Journey to Keyboard Maestro: The Series

by Mike Vardy

My last journey went over so well that I think it’s time that I take another.
I had a few ideas where to venture into this time, but there was one that kept pulling me in no matter what I tried to do to steer clear. It’s not because I don’t want to go down that path, I’m just not sure I’m ready for it. But as a productivityist I have to go with the journey that will ultimately lead to a more efficient and effective version of myself, and that’s why I am choosing Keyboard Maestro as the subject of the next “Journey to…” series.

Why Keyboard Maestro? Well…

  1. I’ve owned the app for a while and have opened it…once. To register it. I got it as part of a bundle and it has sat unused on my hard drive ever since. Considering the power that it can have over my workflow, I think it’s time that I give it the usage it deserves.
  2. It comes highly recommended. Between Macdrifter’s appearance on Mac Power Users and Michael Schechter’s compelling arguments, I can’t help but want to dive in and see what it can do.
  3. I think it will “level up” my productivity. Probably more than any other app I’ve got that I haven’t used yet.

So, I’ll start this journey and report back as I go from Keyboard Maestro rookie to “less than rookie” with the following posts:

The Journey to Keyboard Maestro: Getting Started
The Journey to Keyboard Maestro: Getting Better
The Journey to Keyboard Maestro: Getting Finished

If you liked my Markdown adventure, I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of this. 1
