Writing

My work has appeared in the pages of SUCCESS Magazine, and online at The Huffington Post, Lifehacker, 99u, and many more. I’ve served as Managing Editor of the popular productivity blog Lifehack, and as an editor at The Next Web and WorkAwesome. I’m the author of several self-published works (listed here on my Amazon Author Page) and also wrote The Front Nine: How to Start the Year You Want Anytime You Want, published by Diversion Books. I’m currently working on my next book, TimeCrafting: A Better Way to Get the Right Things Done, due out in Summer 2020 from Mango Publishing.

Speaking

I’ve given talks on productivity and technology, as well as several featured keynotes and workshops related to time, task, project, and goal management. Some of the organizations and events I’ve spoken at include TEDxVictoria, creativeLIVE, and South By Southwest. With each talk and workshop I deliver, my goal is to help people become more aware of the present so that they can go forward with more focus and purpose. You can find out more about my talks at my Speaking page.

Podcasting

As a podcaster, I’ve created, produced and hosted several over the years. I currently host the The Productivityist Podcast which helps listeners take their productivity, time management, goals, to do lists, habits, and workflow to new heights – both at work and at home.

I live in Victoria, BC, Canada with my amazing wife, daughter, and son.

The Psychology of Money (2020) looks at the way money works in the real world. Financial decisions are rarely driven by the theories of economists and the neat spreadsheets of accountants. Instead, a myriad of factors, from personal history to pride and even envy, shape our decision-making. The results are often surprising – and always fascinating.
